I graduated from the University of Manchester in 1991 and completed pre-registration training in Medicine and Surgery in Crewe and Reading and then worked for 12-months in General Medicine and Care of the Elderly and for 12-months in two busy Accident and Emergency Departments before working at clinical assistant level in Accident and Emergency. The general medical jobs involved time spent in rehabilitation and working in a Rheumatology clinic. In the Accident and Emergency jobs I gained extensive experience of assessing and treating a wide variety of soft tissue and bony injuries. 

I am based in Lancashire and have been preparing medico-legal reports for use in personal injury claims since 1994. I am a GMC revalidated doctor, a Member of the Expert Witness Institute and a Tier 1 Expert with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. I am a MedCo Accredited Direct Medical Expert.

Continued training in the medico-legal field has included MedCo Accreditation course, MedCo reaccreditation courses, numerous training sessions and seminars given by other Medical or Legal experts, international Whiplash conferences, Fraud conference and Expert Witness Institute conferences. 

I have prepared in excess of 14,000 reports.  I was involved in testing of the MedCo system for Expert Instruction with the MIB.

I have extensive experience of preparing reports in relation to a wide variety of soft tissue and minor bony injuries, sustained as a result of road traffic collisions, trips and slips and workplace accidents. I also have extensive experience of reviewing medical records for the purposes of report preparation where necessary.

Instructions are accepted by post or e-mail from Claimant Solicitors, Insurers or as a Joint Expert.

Available for consultation at Private Hospitals and Consulting Rooms in Darwen, Carlisle, Liverpool, Preston (Leyland) and Poulton le Fylde. Also available for domiciliary and Prison visits where necessary.

My outside interests include family and my dog. I am a rugby union fan, being a supporter of Sale Sharks and England. I also enjoy travel, literature, cooking and DIY.
